The Bearcats own Simon Mullen was one of 5 MHL products who claimed the silver medal in the 2023 WJAC with team Canada East here in Truro Sunday night falling to Canada West by a score of 7-2.
Canada East finished round robin play with a record 3-1 after wins over Slovakia, Canada East and Sweden before falling to USA in their final preliminary match up. They then went on to defeat Sweden 7-5 in the semifinal.
Mullen finished the tournament with one assist in six games while logging crucial minutes on the back end.
Simon was joined by fellow MHLers Will Allen and Max Jardine(Miramichi), Ryan Hackett(Campbellton) and Head Coach, Billy McGuigan(Summerside).
The organization would like to congratulate Simon and the rest of Canada East on this great accomplishment.
