Bearcats add defensemen Quinn and Countway with territorial selections

The Truro Bearcats have selected local defensemen Logan Quinn and Wyatt Countway as territorial picks ahead of this Thursday’s draft.
Quinn, a 16 year old from Truro played the past season with the Weeks U18 Majors where in his first U18 season he won a provincial and Atlantic championship as well as representing the Atlantic Canada region at nationals. He had 12 points in 35 regular season games and added 2 assists in 12 playoff games en route to the league championship. This past weekend, Logan was selected in the 5th round of the QMJHL draft by the Cape Breton Eagles.
Countway, a 17 year old from Brookfield started this season with the U16 Fundy Thunder where he had 23 points in 22 regular season games which led him to be recalled by the U18 Steele Subaru for the remainder of the season. Countway had 12 points in 11 regular season games with the Dartmouth based team before adding 4 assists in 7 playoff games.
