Bearcats pitch in at food drive

Several Bearcats helped collect food donations at the Food Bank Drive on November 14th.

The Truro Bearcats are happy to be involved in community events at all times of the year, and this holiday season is no exception. The ‘Cats recently volunteered during the Colchester Food Bank Drive on November 14th, and have two more important events on the calendar; each supporting the Truro and Colchester area.

On Dec 2 at the Sunday afternoon game, as the Bearcats take on Miramichi at the RECC, the Bible Hill Kinsmen and volunteers will gather all the Teddy Bears when the Bearcats score their first goal. The Teddy Bears are donated to the Christmas Index program. Please place bears in a plastic bag to protect them from getting wet on the ice.

On Dec 8th, the Bearcats take on Pictou County at 7:00pm at the RECC. Fans are encouraged to bring in food  items in exchange for a ballot. Sobeys on Robie Street in the Fundy Trail Centre are donating some great prizes to be won. Join us in supporting the Colchester Food Bank even further.
