The Truro Bearcats have announced the acquisition of goaltender Mavrick Goyer, defenseman Justin Steele, and future considerations from the Summerside Western Capitals for goaltender Felix-Anthony Ethier.
Goyer, a 19-year-old from Saint-Sophie, Quebec was the Maritime Junior Hockey League’s Top Goaltender for October and posted a 7-1-0-0 record in Summerside with a 2.41 goals against average, which was fourth-best in the league, and a .902 save percentage. Steele is a 19-year-old from Odessa, Florida played ten games in Summerside this season and had two assists.
Going back to the Western Capitals is the 20-year-old Ethier, who joined Truro for this season. In twelve games for the Bearcats, the St. Eustache, Quebec native had a record of 4-6-0-0 with a 4.50 goals against average and an .844 save percentage.
