Bearcat Bytes: Tanner Humber-Dredge

Bearcat -of-the-Week honours went to forward, Tanner Humber-Dredge. In Truro’s home opener, he was among the leaders in the convincing 9-2 win over the Pictou County Crushers. His efforts were rewarded on the score sheet with a goal and a pair of assists. He was a threat each shift, constantly in pursuit of the puck. He was named the game’s First Star.

Following a season with the Kings-Edgehill U16 team, he suited up for a pair of seasons in the Newfoundland Midget AAA League picking up 74 points in 61 games. In his second season, he was the League’s MVP and top point-getter. The 2020 Bearcat Draft pick took a look at the Estevan Bruins before reporting to Truro at the start of last year. He quickly impressed with a full skill set and a tenacious forecheck. He’s exciting to watch and tough to play against.
