Bearcat -of-the-Week honours go to fifth-year junior, Gavin Hart. He completes his junior eligibility this year having spent four with the Bearcats and one with the Halifax Mooseheads. In each season, he’s put his skill set on display and consistently shown he’s been a tough competitor to play against. Look for more of the same this year.
He got his hockey start in the Truro Minor Program, quickly advancing to the “AAA” level at each division. At the Major Bantam level he picked up 82 points in the 61 games played over two seasons. Following the 2016 – 2017 season spent with the Weeks Midgets, he moved on to play his rookie season with the Junior Bearcats. His second Bearcat season saw him impress with 16 goals and 15 assists, then it was off to the Mooseheads for his third Junior year. Last year’s interrupted season will make this one all the more meaningful for him. He was the 2017 Territorial pick by Truro and a Moosehead selection.
