19-year-old Forward
Strathroy, ON
6’1, 185 lbs

Bearcat -of-the-Week honours went to first-year Bearcat, Ben Diamond. His unassisted goal at the 19:00 mark of the third period gave the Bearcats hope a tie in regulation time against Fredericton was a possibility. The big forward played a strong game to the end, utilizing the forecheck to his advantage.

He came up through the Lambton Jr. Sting program in Sarnia, ON, playing the U15, U16 and U18 classifications. He split the 2018-2019 season between the Strathroy Rockets and St. Thomas Stars, both GOHL teams. He finished with 29 points in 41 games played. The Estevan Bruins acquired his playing rights to start this season before he found his way to the Bearcats. The 2019 Sarnia Sting draft pick is looking to reclaim his game, disrupted last year through the shutdown of hockey in Ontario. His size and skill set are welcomed.
