#73 Sam Archibald
17-year-old Forward
Debert, NS
5’9”, 154 lbs.

Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to rookie forward, Sam Archibald. His tenacious play Sunday in Pictou County earned him his first MHL goal and Truro’s lone tally in the OT road loss. He’s a busy player, taking away time and space. Those are valuable tools.

He came up through the West Colchester Cobra and Truro Minor Programs to the Major Bantam level. A two year stop with the Bantam Bearcats grew his game, scoring 27 goals the second season. The last two years were spent with the Weeks Midgets where he displayed his scoring touch and fast game. He was a 2019 Territorial Draft pick by the Bearcats, and a Charlottetown Islanders selection. He, and teammates, Tanner Greatorex were members of Team Nova Scotia at the Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, AB, in 2019.

ON TAP
Friday the Bearcats host the Amherst Ramblers.

Saturday, the Pictou County Crushers will be at the RECC —– Teddy Bear Toss Night.
