The Truro Bearcats are thrilled to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Caylen Blake for the 2026-27 season.
The 18 year old from Corner Brook, Newfoundland comes to the Bearcats with already 120 games of QMJHL over the past two seasons with the Halifax Mooseheads.
The Mooseheads originally took Blake 34th overall in the 2024 QMJHL Draft and he stepped into the lineup as a 16 year old, appearing in 62 games, tallying 9 goals and 10 assists for 19 points.
He upped his production last season in Halifax, appearing in 58 games, putting up 12 goals and 15 assists for 27 points.
One of the top 2008 born players out of his province, Blake played U18 as an underager with the Western Kings and was also the lone underager to play for Newfoundland and Labrador at the 2023 Canada Games in PEI.
Caylen is a highly skilled and creative forward that we’re looking forward to add to an already deep group.
He will wear #55 with the Bearcats.
