Bearcats acquire Gendunov from South Shore

The Truro Jr. A Bearcats have made a major acquisition early in the 2020-21 MHL season, trading 19-year-old forward Cole Julian, Bradley Blake, and a conditional 3rd round pick in the 2021 draft to South Shore for Bair Gendunov and a conditional 2nd round pick in the 2022 draft.

The 20-year-old forward led the Lumberjacks in scoring in 2019-20 with 35 goals and 37 assists in 52 games. In 2018-19, his first season in the MHL, Gendunov posted 24 goals and 23 assists in 50 games, adding another four goals and 15 assists in thirteen playoff games.

Julian was into his third season in Truro with one goal in the lone game he’d played in 2020-21. Over the past two seasons, Julian had nine goals and 18 assists in 95 games. He scored one goal in four playoff games during the 2019 Canadian Tire Cup Playoffs.
