Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to second-year rearguard, Jacob Christie. Injury has kept him out of the lineup for 12 of the first 28 Bearcat games. His return has made the defensive corps bigger, stronger and more menacing. His size and throwback defensive game are welcomed with the approach of postseason play.

He came up through the Dartmouth Whaler Major Bantam Program, playing two seasons before three with the Dartmouth Major Midgets. He captained that team his last season, displaying strong defensive play and an offensive flair. His rookie year demonstrated he was ready, in numerous ways, for the junior game. Playing alongside an experienced defence added to his skill set. He was a 2018 St. Stephen Ace pick and a 2019 choice of the Cape Breton Screaming Eag.es. The Bearcats acquired his rights from Yarmouth, as part of the trade that sent Carson Lanceleve to the Mariners. He’s rightfully wearing an “A”.
