Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to veteran forward Gavin Hart. In the opening game of the Rambler-Bearcat series, he assisted on Ben Diamond’s goal late in the final period to tie the game, then scored at the 4:55 mark of the first OT period. It was a good night’s work for the fifth year junior veteran. He was named the game’s first star while silencing the Rambler faithful. The Bearcats need that veteran leadership.
ALL-STAR SELECTION
Kudos to Bearcat goalie, Mavrick Goyer, for being named to the Eastlink South All-Star team. The December acquisition from Summerside posted a 15-3-1 record in 21 appearances, compiling the MHL’s top G.AA (2.07), top save percentage (0.932), and most shutouts (5). Some impressive, eh.
