Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to forward, Bair Gendunov. He picked up two goals and two assists in Truro’s lone game of the week, a win in Bridgewater to wrap up the season and extend the team’s consecutive win streak to eleven. He finished the season as the MHL’s Top Scorer with 62 points(3 goals, 5 assists while a Lumberjack, and 26 goals and 28 assists as a Bearcat). During the eleven-game streak, he contributed 14 goals and 16 assists. Obviously that November Trade was a great one for the Bearcats and him.
He came up through the Toronto Jr. Canadians U16 and Mississauga U18 Programs en route to the 2017-2018 season where he split his time between the Markham Royals and Burlington Cougars of the OJHL. He spent the next two seasons with the South Shore Lumberjacks scoring a combined 59 goals and 60 assists. He started this season as the South Shore Lumberjacks Captain prior to the trade. Originally, he was a 2017 draft choice of the Saginaw Spirit (OHL).
