Bearcat Bytes: #89 Dylan Burton

# 89 Dylan Burton
Hammond Plains, NS
5’9”, 190 lbs.
20, Forward

Bearcat-of-the-Week honors went to third year Bearcat, Dylan Burton. In the two games last week he picked up three goals and a pair of assists. In the 4 – 0 win over Valley he scored a brace , then added a single tally against Yarmouth. It’s a good time to get your grove back.

He got his hockey start in the Bedford Blues Minor Program, working his way through the ranks to the end of Bantam. After a season with the Bedford Blues “AA” Midgets, he got a shot with Newbridge Academy, experiencing Provincial, Atlantics and exposure at the Telus Nationals. In his third Midget year, he responded with 18 goals and 20 assists and another 16 points in the playoff run en route to another Telus Cup appearance. The 2016 Bearcat pick had a 15 goal and 21 assist rookie year, helping the team pick up its fourth MHL Crown. He’s clearly a 200 foot player who tends to consistently do the little things. He came into this week second in Bearcat scoring with 13 goals and 16 assists.
