Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to forward, Logan Camp. Since coming to the Bearcats in January, he’s been a tenacious player unrewarded for his efforts. Last Thursday in Bridgewater he picked up his first MHL goal and assisted on a powerplay effort Saturday in Yarmouth. He’s been a good fit with growing confidence.
He got his hockey start in the Bedford Blues Minor Program through to the Peewee AAA Program where he enjoyed international experience at the prestigious Quebec Winter Carnival Tournament. He followed with a pair of Major Bantam seasons with the Bedford Barons. Last year was his lone Midget year, as a member of the Dartmouth Major Midgets. While there, he experienced a NSMMHL Championship and caught the eye of the Bearcats and Baie-Comeau Drakkar, both drafting him at the end of last season. A strong Training Camp landed him a spot with the Drakkar, where he played 22 games up to the Christmas Break. He quickly adjusted to the MHL game and has shown he can be a 200 – foot player.
