Humber-Dredge commits to University of Wisconsin-Stout

Per the MHL:

The Truro Bearcats have announced that forward Tanner Humber-Dredge has committed to the University of Wisconsin-Stout, an NCAA Division III program.

The 20-year-old from St. John’s, Newfoundland was selected by the Bearcats in the 6th Round, 89th overall, in the 2020 MHL Entry Draft. In his rookie season of 2020-21, Humber-Dredge tallied three goals and nine assists in 29 games for Truro. He also played in five playoff games.

In 2021-22, Humber-Dredge was fourth in team scoring with 31 points as he registered 9 goals and 22 assists in 36 games. During Truro’s march to the league final, he was tied for second in team scoring with six goals and seven assists. Humber-Dredge was named an Honourable Mention for the MHL’s Top Forward in February 2022 and was named to the Eastlink South Team of the Week once.

Humber-Dredge picked up his scoring prowess even more in his final season, leading the Bearcats with 68 points. His 49 assists also led the team, to go with nineteen goals. In the Metalfab MHL Cup Playoffs, he also had one goal and seven assists in seven games. Humber-Dredge was named to the Eastlink South’s Team of the Week six times in 2022-23.
