DeGagne commits to Nipissing University

The Truro Bearcats have announced that defenseman Alex DeGagne has committed to Nipissing University for 2021-22.

The 21-year-old from Mississauga, Ontario spent two seasons with the QMJHL’s Shawinigan Cataractes from 2017-18 to 2018-19, followed by just over one season with the Victoriaville Tigres. He joined the Bearcats in February, with three goals and three assists in nine regular season games in 2020-21. DeGagne had one goal and five assists in five games during the Canadian Tire Cup Eastlink South Playoff Round Robin, which was tied with two other players for the most points for a defenseman.

The MHL congratulates DeGagne on his hockey career and post-secondary commitment.
