The Truro Bearcats are very pleased to announce the signing of 2008-born defenceman Zach Gill for the 2026-27 MHL season.
The 18 year old from Moncton has spent the past 2 seasons with the prestigious Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut where he served as captain this past season. Zach put up 6 goals and 21 assists for 27 points and logged over 20 minutes a night as he helped the Crimson Knights to the NEPSAC Elite 8, which crowns the best of the best in New England Prep.
Prior to his time in Salisbury, Zach spent his rookie U18 season with the Moncton Flyers where he had a great first year leading to the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada selecting him in the 5th round of the 2024 QMJHL Draft.
Gill is one of the premier 2008-born defencemen in the maritimes and we’re very excited he chose Truro as the next step in his development.
Welcome to Truro, Zach!
