The Truro Bearcats held their 5th Annual Jimmy Roberts Practice Day on Monday. Roberts won five Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens in the 1960s and 70s, totaling 126 goals and 194 assists in 1006 games. He also had a distinguished coaching career. He died October 23rd, 2015.
Bearcats head coach and general manager Shawn Evans says Roberts was a huge influence and very important in his playing and coaching career. The Bearcats honoured Roberts by doing a number of his unique drills in practice. Fun was had by all.
