The Truro Bearcats are thrilled to announce the signing of 19 year old forward Jake Todd from the Halifax Mooseheads.
The Beaverbank product is a second round draft pick of the Bearcats back in 2022 as well as a 2021 third round QMJHL pick. He has spent all 2 and a half seasons of his junior career in Halifax where he gained valuable experience playing on some very deep Moosehead teams including going to the finals in 2022/23.
Jake had an outstanding U18 career where he was the Nova Scotia U18 Rookie of the Year in 2020/21 and a Second Team All-Star in 2021/22.
Jake had this to say on what fans can expect out of him “Definitely a gritty player who plays till the end of the buzzer but will be looking more to put up some numbers offensively to help out the team win and build some momentum heading into playoffs!”
Todd possesses a mix of skill, grit and character that we are very excited to add to our lineup.
Jake is also the brother of Jarrett Todd who spent part of last season in Truro.
