The Truro Bearcats have made another big splash post draft acquiring the rights to 3 year QMJHL forward, Zachary Marquis-Laflamme from the Miramichi Timberwolves in exchange for forward prospects Austin Sanchez, Easton Schlender and future considerations.
Marquis-Laflamme, a product of Levis, Quebec is a former 2020 7th round pick to the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and has spent the past 3 seasons in the Q with time split between the Huskies and Quebec Remparts. Zachary tallied 7 points in 2021-22 in his rookie season in
Rouyn before being traded to the Remparts.
In 2022-23, Marquis-Laflamme put up 14 points in 43 games on a loaded Quebec team that went on to win the QMJHL Gilles-Courteau Trophy as well as the Memorial Cup.
Zachary totalled his highest offensive output this past season in Quebec, notching career highs in goals(13), assists(10) and points(23) as the Remparts were going through their post Memorial Cup rebuild.
