Bearcat -of-the-Week honours went to first-year Bearcat defenceman, Zach Smith. He scored Truro’s lone goal in the second period in Campbellton. He came to the Bearcats at the start of the season, providing experience and mobility to a young defensive corps.
He got his hockey grounding with the Masconomet Regional High School Chieftains in Boxford, MA while gaining further exposure with the Islanders U15 and U16 programs. Next up was a season with the Hebron Academy Prep Lumberjacks in Maine. Last year he played with the Boston Advantage U18 (USPHL) program.
SPECIAL PROGRAMS
The Bible Hill Kinsmen – Truro Bearcat Partnership is back on track. At each Home Game,
$100.00 will be donated to a local charity. If the Bearcats score a powerplay goal an additional $100.00 will be donated. Over the last 18 seasons of this partnership, $83,600.00 has gone to local charities — welcome back.
