Truro, NS
5’11”, 175 lbs.

Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to defenceman, Tanner Greatorex. He and Jacob Christie completed their rookie year under solid mentorship, and this year each has a leadership role with significantly increased responsibility. The response has been good as each is now a reliable rearguard.

Greatorex came up through the Truro and Area Minor Program to the Major Bantam level spending two seasons with the Truro club. Next up were a pair of years with the Weeks Midgets. Late in the first year he participated in the Canada Games with Team Nova Scotia. The year after he served as team Captain with the Weeks club. The 2019 draft pick by the Bearcats and Cape Breton Screaming Eagles made a quick adjustment to the junior level and has been a go-to player getting the opportunity to play in all situations while growing with each opportunity.

Bearcat season ticket holders are reminded to bring the January – March tickets to this week’s game, to be redeemed for new tickets for February and March.

Amherst visit the RECC to face the Bearcats on Wednesday.

The Edmundston Blizzard are in town Friday to square-off against Truro.

Saturday the South Shore Lumberjacks will play the Bearcats as part of the special week of games honouring First Responders.

All the games start at 7:00.
