Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to defenceman, Josh Steele. He came to the Bearcats via the December trade with the Summerside Capitals. In his four Bearcat games, he displayed a desire to jump into the play, giving the team a higher degree of mobility. He was well-coached and has been an impact player from the get-go.
He’s been moving north to find competitive hockey since he was thirteen. Beginning in 2015 -2016, he started a path that landed him in Truro. He spent two years playing with the TPH Thunder U-13 club in Duluth, Georgia. The 2017 – 2018 season was spent in South Kent Connecticut playing with the Selects Academy U-15 Program. He followed this up with three seasons with the Rothesay Academy U-18 program playing across Canada and the United States. After 10 games with the Summerside Capitals, he came across the Strait to the Bearcats. Fans are anxious to see his game grow.
