Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to team Captain, Holden Kodak, for doing what captains are supposed to do — lead. He picked up the winning goal midway through the final period of Game Two, in Berwick, to even the series at a game apiece. Honourable mention went to Tanner Humber-Dredge for his continued point production and hustle, and to goalie, Mavrick Goyer for his management of the crease area.
Second-year forward, Trey Sturge and rookie, James Beaton are currently on the DL, rated day-to-day. Lane Lochead (16) from Alma, has joined the Bearcats for the remainder of the season. A productive member of the Weeks Major Midgets the last two seasons, he was the first found pick by Truro in the 2021 June draft, and a selection by the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. His size, skill and enthusiasm are welcomed.
