Bearcat Bytes: Holden Kodak

#81 Holden Kodak
19-year-old Forward
Coverdale, BC
5’9”, 160 lbs

Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to forward, Holden Kodak. In both games last weekend, he got on the scoreboard. In the 5-3 loss to Yarmouth, he assisted on Bair Gendunov’s short-handed goal, then scored the Bearcats’ lone goal in the 8-1 loss to Summerside. He’s been solid since his arrival, showing skill in all situations. He’s been a reliable forward since the get-go.

He came up through the Yale Hockey Academy U15 and U18 Program located in Abbotsford BC. In his two U18 seasons he scored 113 points in 66 games, including the 2017-2018 year when he scored 92 points, and being named MVP in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL). He played all of 2018-19 with the Kootenay Ice (WHL), moving with the team to Winnipeg to start last season. He finished the year in the BCHL with the West Kelowna Warriors. He brings the Bearcats quality experience, scoring and an ability to play all three forward positions.
