Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to veteran forward, Ben Sheffar. Foot speed makes him hard to play against and puts him in a good position. His winning goal against Pictou County was a dandy. He assisted on Truro’s lone goal in Valley and scored the opening goal against Grand Falls. His speed, energy and experience are great assets at this time of year.
After two seasons with the Newbridge Senators Major Bantams, he moved on to two solid seasons with the Dartmouth Wolfpack. He became a Timberwolf during the 2018-2019 season, and 16 games into his second season he was acquired by the Truro Bearcats. He played 13 games with the Sackville Jr. “B” Blazers before finishing that season with Truro. Now in his second full season with Truro, he’s been counted upon to play deep in the opposition’s end.
Kinsmen – Bearcat Partnership
Over the first 18 years of this Power Play Partnership, the Bible Hill Kinsmen donated $83,600 to local charities. Covid interrupted the Program but it was back on this year. Prior to the start of play this Sunday, presentations will be made to this year’s recipients. Great to have you back.
