Bearcat Bytes – #89 Dylan Burton

# 89 Dylan Burton Hammonds Plains, NS 5’9”, 190 lbs. 20, Forward

Hats off to Dylan Burton for being named Truro Bearcat Captain for the 2018 – 2019 season. The third year Bearcat has been a solid performer in both the previous years and is recognized, by his peers as a hard working 200-foot player. He clearly leads by example and is respectfully welcomed to his position from all of his teammates.

He got his hockey start in the Bedford Blues Minor Program continuing through the ranks to the Association’s AA Midgets. After one season at that level, he suited up with the Newbridge Academy Midget Gladiators, helping that club win Provincial Atlantics and a crack at the Telus Cup. Next up, with the Dartmouth Midgets, he impressed with an 18 goal, 20 assist season enroute to a second Telus Cup Appearance. The 2016 Bearcat pick had a strong rookie season, scoring 15 and assisting on 21 others, helping the Bearcats win their fourth MHL Crown and a trip to the Fred Page Cup. Last year, he finished third in team scoring with 16 goals and 18 assists. He looks to lead the Bearcats into another strong campaign.
