Bearcat Bytes: #19 Caleb Hart

#19 Caleb Hart
Peterborough, ON
5’11”, 183 lbs.
19, Forward

Bearcat-of-the-Week honours went to second year Bearcat, Caleb Hart. He’s been a 200 foot player all year and is finally, being rewarded on the score sheet. In Friday’s 3 – 0 win over Edmundston, his power play goal was the winner. As a reliable Bearcat, he’s worked himself in a strong position, taking important face-offs and getting time on the Powerplay and Penalty kill. His hard work and team play is paying off.

He got his hockey start in the Richmond Hill Minor Program, then on to the North Toronto Association. Following Bantam hockey ibn Markham, a family move brought him to Oakfield, NS. He spent the 2017 – 2018 season with Newbridge Academy U 18. As an undrafted Midget, he made the most of his walk-on experience, being one of three rookies to crack the Bearcat lineup and learn the junior game last year. A low maintenance player, he’s grown his game, receiving increased ice time and responsibility. His point count does not fully reflect his work ethic and contribution in so many ways.
