Bearcat Bytes: #19 Caleb Hart

# 19 Caleb Hart
Peterborough, ON
5’11”, 170 lbs.
18, Forward

Bearcat-of-the-Week honors go to rookie forward, Caleb Hart. He picked up two goals in two of last week’s three games.

He opened the scoring in the 3 – 2 OT loss in Summerside, then scored again in Friday’s 3 – 2 Shootout win at home against Grand Falls. He, along with all rookie forwards, has benefited from the opportunities which came their way this season. Not bad for an invite.

He got his hockey start in the Richmond Hill Minor Program before moving on to the North Toronto Association for his Atom play. Following his Bantam Hockey with the Markam Bantams, the family move to Oakfield, NS, saw him suit up last year with the Newbridge Academy U 18 team. He obviously came to the Bearcats determined to show he belonged. He impressed quickly with his skating and intensity. A low maintenance player he has grown his 200’ game and is being considered reliable off the bench in all situations. He, Cole Julian and newcomer, Logan Camp, have been solid each outing.
