Bearcat-of- the-Week honours went to fourth year Bearcat, Denver Lynds. He picked up an assist in the win over Campbellton and scored Truro’s lone goal in the loss to Miramichi. More importantly his overall play in both games indicated his willingness to lead on and off the ice. A hard-nosed player wearing an “A” on his jersey can have a big influence on the young players looking up. He’s had an impressive start.

He got his hockey start in the West Colchester Cobra Program before switching to the Truro and Area Minor Association. Midway through his first Bantam season he suited up with the Harrington Iceberg Prep Program (QC). At the Midget level he split his time between the Weeks Crushers and the Ontario Hockey Academy Mavericks, the 2012 Bearcat Territorial pick reported for his rookie season in 2013-2014. His physical and determined play have been his trademarks. He and Kyle Tibbo are the two holdovers from the 2013 - 2014 Kent Cup Team which went on to play in the Fred Page Cup in St. Jerome,
