Bearcat-of- the-Week honours went to Bearcat sophomore forward, Cameron MacLeod. He picked up some key points in the two weekend victories. In the 7-4 comeback win over Valley, he assisted on Zach Moody’s first of three goals. Saturday, he assisted on the opening goal then the winner, a power-play effort, in the third period.

He got his hockey start in the Dartmouth Whaler Program working his way through the ranks until reaching High School where he played a full season with the Darthmouth High in the Metro League. In 2013-2014, he suited up with the Newbridge Academy Gladiators. The following season, with the Steele Subaru Midgets, he experienced a Provincial and Atlantics Championship, earning exposure at the Telus Cup.

The 2014 Bearcat pick had a solid rookie Bearcat season, displaying tenacity on the puck. This year, his efforts often weren’t rewarded; however, his compete level has not changed.

Again this year, the Bearcats will help man the Kettles in the Salvation Army Christmas Kettle Campaign. The players will participate the first three Tuesdays in December at the Truro Mall and Wal-Mart.

The Bearcats and Bible Hill Kinsmen have designated December 3rd as Teddy Bear Toss Night. Place the Bear in a grocery bag and toss it on the ice when the Bearcats score their first goal that evening.

Saturday the Bearcats host the County Aces at the RECC. Game time is 7:00 pm.

Sunday, the team travels to Dieppe for a 2:30 pm start against the Commandos.
