Luke MacMillan
Brookfield, NS
6'3", 187 lbs
18, Forward

Bearcat-of- the-Week honours go to second year forward, Luke MacMillan. He scored half of Truro’s goals in the 5 – 2 loss to Summerside in the Bearcats lone game last weekend. His role is more of a shut – down one, so goals from him are a plus. He’s a solid player shift to shift.

Most of his early hockey was in the South Colchester Association before a move to “AAA” Peewee in Truro. Part way through his second season of Midget “AA” hockey he moved up to the Steele Subaru Major Midgets, elevating his game and exposure at Provincials, Atlantics and Telus Cup. The Bearcats drafted him at the end of the 2016 season and earned a spot with the club last year, appearing in 48 Bearcat games, experiencing a MHL Championship and playing in the Fred Page Cup. He’s been strong on face-offs and the fore-check while playing a simple reliable game.

Weather permitting, Bearcat 2018 Calendars will be handed out at tonight’s game. Thanks again to the Truro Daily News and cooperating sponsors for the publication of the calendar.

Tonight the Valley Wildcats are in town, facing off against the Bearcats, 7:00 pm at the RECC.
