Bearcat-of- the-Week honours went rookie forward, Dylan Burton. In Truro’s lone win of the weekend, he picked up a spectacular goal, then assisted on the winning tally. He comes into this week with seven goals and five assists and is earning time in all situations.

He came up through the Bedford Blues Minor Program through to his second year of midget. In the 2014 – 2015 season, he played with the Newbridge Academy winning Provincials and Atlantics and earned Telus Cup play in Riviere-du- Loup. Last year, he upped his offensive productivity, finishing with 18 goals and 20 assists. Again his Midget Club earned a trip to nationals in Saint John. The Bearcats selected him in the first round of the 2016 draft. He continually plays a full 200 – foot game in any of the forward positives. He has shown he can play any type of game.

The Bearcats wrap up their pre-Christmas schedule this weekend. They return to Truro on Thursday, December 29th to prepare for the final leg of regular season play.

Tonight, the Yarmouth Mariners are in town for a 7:00 pm start against the Bearcats.

Saturday, the Valley Wildcats visit the RECC for a 7:00 pm game against the Truro.
